Course aims:
Develop structured knowledge about essential principles of digital photography and obtain practical skills of using equipment and software to achieve creative results.
Brief description of the course:
Introduction to digital photography. Cameras, lenses and accessories. Camera settings. Basic principles of composition. Importing and managing photos. Editing RAW photos. Presets and external editors. Color editing. Black and white photography. Mobile photography. Online platforms for publishing photos, copyright and legal considerations. Building a photography portfolio.
Learning outcomes:
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows the terms and vocabulary of digital photography;
- can use camera at beginners level;
- is able to manage and edit RAW photos;
- exports photos for the web and compiles an online photography portfolio.
